Leonard Grabowski

This Memorial Day, I am especially remembering my grandma's younger
brother, Leonard Grabowski, who was killed in Guam in WWII. His day on
the beach was much different from the way we spend our days on the
beach. He received the Silver Star Medal for his bravery. Leonard was
my dad's favorite uncle and my grandma told me how her brother would
help my dad with his homework and how they just loved to spend time
together. Thank you for your service, Uncle Leonard, and to all the
rest of the brave souls who gave their lives for the good of their
country.
